Home Coming and Convocation Ceremony of 2022/2023 Graduands

The Homecoming and Convocation ceremony for the 2021/2022 graduands of the seminary took place from Friday, March 24th, to Saturday, March 25th, 2023, and it was a resounding success. The event was a culmination of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of the graduands, who had completed their academic journey at the seminary.

The event began on Friday evening with a Holy Mass at the seminary chapel. The chief celebrant of the mass was the president of the set, Fr. Henry Attamah, who was accompanied by some of his classmates and formators. It was a solemn occasion that reminded everyone of the spiritual values that had guided them throughout their academic journey.

After the Holy Mass, there was a supper at the seminary refectory with the graduands, formators, and seminarians in attendance. It was a time for everyone to unwind and catch up with old friends and mentors.

Later that evening, there was an interactive session at the seminary hall with the graduands, formators, and seminarians. The session provided an opportunity for everyone to share their experiences and insights with each other, reflecting on their time at the seminary and the lessons learned along the way.

On Saturday, March 25th, there was another Holy Mass presided over by His Lordship, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese. The mass was attended by the graduands, formators, and friends of the seminary and the graduands. It was a time to give thanks and praise for the blessings received throughout the academic journey.

Following the Holy Mass, the main event of the day took place at the arena proper. The event featured a convocation paper presented by Rev. Fr. Dr. Prof. Ikenga K. E. Oragbunam the valedictory speech by the best-graduating student Mr. Ikeh Mapel Chidera, the message from the convocation prelate, and other entertainment by the seminary choir and Orchestra.

The convocation ceremony was a proud moment for all in attendance, as they celebrated the academic achievements of the graduands. It was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice throughout their academic journey. The graduands were commended for their achievements, and they were encouraged to use their knowledge to make a positive impact on society.
